This policy explains what information TruYard collects through tru-yard.com, how that information is used, and who it is shared with. It covers this website. If you have a question about anything below, email or call (651) 318-1100.

Effective date: October 8, 2026

Information You Give Us

When you fill out the contact form on this site, we receive:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • A delivery address, if you choose to enter one
  • The message you write and the type of inquiry it came from, such as a general question, a quote request, a commercial inquiry, or a showroom appointment
  • Whether you checked the box asking for occasional product and promotion updates

We also receive whatever you send us directly by phone, email, or Facebook Messenger.

We ask only for what we need to answer your question, put a quote together, or schedule a delivery.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, this one records basic usage information as you browse:

  • Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
  • Links you click, including phone, email, and Messenger links
  • Your browser and device type
  • An approximate location based on your IP address, usually accurate to the city
  • The site or search that sent you here

This is gathered through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and is reported to us in aggregate. We use it to see which products draw interest and which pages need work.

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. The cookies on this site are set by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to recognize a returning visit and keep usage statistics accurate. Tags for advertising measurement may also run through Tag Manager, which lets us see which ads lead to a quote request.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work. If you would rather not be counted in analytics at all, Google publishes an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not sell visitor data, and we do not build advertising profiles on our own.

The Delivery Area Checker

Our contact page has a tool that tells you whether your address falls inside the free delivery radius. When you enter an address or ZIP code there and press the button, that address is sent to OpenStreetMap's public lookup service, which converts it into map coordinates so the distance from Rosemount can be calculated.

TruYard does not store what you type into that tool, and it is not attached to your contact form or to any record we keep. If you would rather not send an address to an outside service, call us instead and we will check the distance for you.

How We Use Your Information

  • Answering your question and following up on an inquiry
  • Preparing a quote and confirming order details
  • Scheduling and coordinating delivery
  • Keeping order records, which a warranty claim requires
  • Sending product and promotion updates, but only if you asked for them
  • Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it

How We Share Information

We do not sell your information. It is shared only with the services that make this site and our business run:

  • Netlify, which hosts the site and stores contact form submissions before they reach our email
  • Google, for the analytics and advertising measurement described above
  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on every page and therefore receives a request from your browser
  • OpenStreetMap, only for an address you enter into the delivery checker

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. Links to our Facebook page and Messenger take you to Meta's own services, which are governed by Meta's privacy policy rather than this one.

How Long We Keep It

  • Contact form submissions stay in our form system and email while your inquiry is open and for our records afterward.
  • Order records are kept for as long as the warranty on your furniture runs, because an approved claim requires proof of purchase.
  • Analytics data is held by Google on a rolling retention schedule and is not tied to your name.

Your Choices

  • Stop the updates. Email us or reply to any update and we will take you off the list.
  • Ask what we have. Email and we will tell you what information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to delete it. We will remove what we are not required to keep.
  • Opt out of analytics using your browser settings or Google's add-on.

Deleting an order record can limit our ability to process a future warranty claim on that purchase, since a claim depends on proof of purchase.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, so anything you submit through the contact form is encrypted in transit. We limit who can see form submissions to the people who need them. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive financial details through the contact form.

Children's Privacy

This site is meant for adults shopping for outdoor furniture. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here rather than announced by email.
